New Features

Version 3.0.3

The latest release of Risk Register Professional LA - version 3.0.3 - includes the following new features and functional enhancements:

  • It is now possible to make the mandatory fields a different colour, both when empty and complete. The colours can be set in the Other Options tab of the Global Options form in the Admin module.

  • The overdue time of a Task can now be set by the priority. This can be set up from the Priority list administration in the Admin module

  • It is now possible to change the width of the number fields for Issues, details and controls. This can be set in the Global Options form in the Admin module.

  • The ability to be able to multiple select the department security records will allow quicker security settings to be applied.

  • Reports showing closed records have been updated so they do not show.

  • If the Likelihood or Severity labels are very long then the matrix report can look corrupted. This has been changed to allow for long labels if required.

  • The Custom List 1 list in the Risk Issue search can show the wrong list in some circumstances. This has been rectified.

  • The Control number, even when on automatic, can be editable in some instances. This has been stopped.

  • Some Controls could showing on the Risk Issue tab with no number even though they have a number. All Controls will now show with their number.

  • Move Actions does not put in enough carriage returns. This function has been re-designed to provide a better result.

  • The Rick Detail Ratings of closed Details were still included in the Overall Risk Rating score. The Overall Rating now only works from open Risk Details.

  • It is now possible to remove a Viewer licence in Licence Admin.

  • The number of days before the login passwords expire can now be set in the Global Options form in the Admin module.

  • There are now four Custom Check fields (Tick Boxes) in Risk Details. These can be turned on/off from the Risk Detail tab of the Global Options form in the Admin module. The labels (names) for the fields can be set through the Label Admin in the Admin module.
     

Version 3.0.1

Version 3.0.1 included the following new features and functional enhancements:

  • Link to MAPI address book through the e mail contacts form.

  • A new administrative option to make passwords mandatory.

  • The ability to be able to double click to select the Risk Matrix.

  • Reports now say 'No Controls' and 'No Risk Details' if there are none.

  • Matrix report for more than one detail (by Issue).

  • Different Lead Officer label for Detail to Issue.

  • The ability to have a recurring task of more than one year. Ie. 1 Jan every 3 years.

  • Ability to turn off the multiple category buttons for Issues and Details.

  • Ability for users to be able to change/set their own password.

  • Need a warning if the due date is in the past. No reminder if it is.

  • Option to remove the question on automatic Overall Rating updates.

  • Ability to be able to change the Risk Register title on the main risk form.

  • New Risk Issue option in File/New on main risk form.
     

Version 3.0.0

Version 3.0.0 included the following new features and functional enhancements:

  • User administrator can now select which users can add and delete Risk Issues, Details and Controls. This functionality replaces the 'Allowed to Delete' and Department Manager' options in the User Administration form.

  • It is now possible to change the Risk Rating calculation method after adding records.

  • New functionality to be able to view the related Issue, Detail or Control from the Outstanding form.

  • New combo field – a new field called Standard will allow for the register to be used for Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality details. This new functionality has been added as part of the custom drop down lists mentioned below.

  • Ability to rename Critical Success Factors label.

  • Ability to rename Persons Responsible Label.

  • Audit trail: if any record is changed and then saved without changing to a different record, then changed and saved again, the first changes are also logged in the second change audit event.

  • New functionality has been added to allow the use of three tiers for the Department structure.

  • User administrator can now select which users can add and delete Tasks, Attachments and Logs.

  • As there are lists made up from the User Details it is now possible to stop a particular user from appearing in those lists.

  • It is now possible to move a Control record from one Risk Detail to another as an administration function in case of mistaken entry.

  • A prefix and suffix has been added to the Risk Issue, Detail and Control numbers, for each department. This is set in the administration module.

  • Ability to be able to select from a drop down list containing a list of all members of staff from the current Dept and Risk Managers to automatically add to the Persons Responsible list.

  • Overdue Tasks warning for Risk Managers.

  • All Add and Delete buttons are now hidden if the user is not allowed to add and delete records respectively.

  • The addition of two new drop down lists, similar to the Category list, with full customisation of the contents and the name of the list on the Risk Detail form.

  • Ability to be able to change the sort order of the Likelihood and Severity lists. The selected sort order is applied to the drop down lists and reports.

  • For a Collaborative or Corporate risk, a Lead Officer can be allocated for each department.

  • The addition of two new drop down lists, similar to the Category list, with full customisation of the contents and the name of the list on the Risk Issue form.

  • If you cancel adding a new record it will now show in the audit trail.

  • All tasks for closed Issues, Detail or Controls are now closed automatically.

  • The related Task for Review Dates can now be viewed by right clicking on the Review Date field.

  • 'Allowed to log in' option for user details. This allows users to be created for the user lists but will stop them from being able to use the Risk Register if required.

  • All e-mail options are automatically changed to an export option if MAPI e-mail is not used.

  • Upgrade to spelling database.

  • Coloured fields in the Matrix report.

  • New reports:
